Dr. Jim Humphries Media Seminar

Date

  Thursday, March 1, 2007

Fee      $35.00
Registration        8:00 am
Meeting      8:30 am - 3pm

Have you been interviewed by print media and thought of all the things your should have said, once you read your quotes?

  •  Do you freeze in front of a camera or when a reporter or radio host thrusts a microphone in your face?

  •  Do you know how to answer questions differently if you are being interviewed live versus for a taped presentation?

  •  Do you have difficulty controlling or directing the conversation with talkative clients?

  •  Do you recognize the value of increasing your media presence in your community but don’t know how to do so?

  •  Have you wondered about what to ask the media when they call before agreeing to an interview?

  •  Are you confused about how to prepare for an interview on a particularly “hot topic”?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, or if you feel you’ve been “burned” by media experiences in the past, then you can’t afford to miss this workshop.

This day-long workshop on Media Communications Training will be conducted by Dr. Jim Humphries of Veterinary News Network.  He also owns DVMedia, an award winning video production company in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Dr. Humphries has had a 20 year career in the public media, in every aspect of production and management of print, radio, television and internet communications.  He is also a veterinarian, graduating from Texas A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1977.

Suzanne Hetts decided to try to arrange for Dr. Humphries to speak to our IFAAB group after attending two of his workshops hosted by the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association. She emphatically states that Dr. Humphries’ media training workshops are some of the most valuable events she has ever attended.  Not only are the workshops fun, the skills you will learn from Dr. Humphries are not easily acquired from any sources.  Quality media training is not readily available, and can be quite expensive.

Due to the generous sponsorship of Fort Dodge Animal Health, Dr. Humphries’ invaluable day long workshop will only cost attendees the ridiculously low fee of $35, which essentially covers the meeting room, lunch and breaks, and handout costs.  Don’t miss this rare opportunity – register early as space is limited.
