IFAAB 2023 will be held in beautiful, sunny Austin, TX on February 25-26. 

We are planning an exciting in-person conference, and we hope you will join us for a weekend of thought-provoking discussions

Friday evening (optional): We will likely have an optional, low-key get-together on Friday night for those who come in early enough to say hi!

Saturday: Saturday breakfast is at the hotel (included) followed by a day of talks with lunch and snacks provided. Dinner is on your own with many restaurants nearby.  

Sunday: Sunday breakfast is again at the hotel followed by a day of talks with lunch and snacks provided. 

* All attendees are requested to be fully vaccinated prior to arriving in Austin. Thank you for understanding.

A block of rooms is being held for us, and reservations must be made prior to January 24, 2023. Rooms not reserved prior to that date will be released back to the hotel.

Area Information

While typically warm and sunny, temperatures in Austin in February can be quite variable. It is usually pleasant during the day but colder at night and first thing in the morning. (Average high of 65º F and low of 45º F).

Nearby entertainment includes the Austin downtown area and the Austin zoo.

Travel Information

The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is a 20-minute drive from the hotel. There are no hotel shuttles.

Meal Information

See above. Breakfast is included at the hotel. Lunch and an afternoon snack are included with your registration, as is a welcome reception with snacks Thursday evening. We plan on doing a subsidized group dinner on Saturday, dinner on Friday (and Thursday if you need more than the light fare provided) is on your own.

Cancellation and refunds

Refunds will be given if requested prior to January 23.

Presentations

Presentations need not be data-based.  Interesting, well-presented case histories are welcome.  Consulting business related topics, discussions of recent relevant current events, and research are additional possibilities.  Panels are encouraged.  IFAAB is known for the value of its discussions among participants so please keep that in mind - presentations need not be more than 20 minutes if they stimulate interesting discussion.
