Conference Structure

The Forum is a small, intimate structure meant to deeply discuss interesting topics and forge relationships between professionals across the animal behavior field. Therefore, the number of attendees is typically capped at ~30 individuals.


The typical conference schedule is as follows:

Day 1 (travel day): Optional networking opportunity over drinks as attendees arrive in the host city.

Day 2: Presentations throughout the day. Student poster session in the evening.
Lunch is typically provided by the Forum, and dinner is on your own with colleagues. An optional social event may be scheduled for the evening. See here for a sample past schedule: 2025 Schedule

Day 3: Presentations throughout the day.
Lunch is typically provided by the Forum, and dinner is on your own with colleagues. An optional social event may be scheduled for the evening.

Day 4 (optional): Optional group outing, travel plans allowing. Past outings have included expert-led tours of zoos, shelters, training facilities, etc.
